Fall Pennant Banner by Morena Hockley
I hate waiting for glue to dry, and I dislike glitter shed. Thanks to glitter glue sticks I don’t have to deal with either of those issues. I can complete a glittery project in minutes thanks to quick setting hot glue. This is a total instant gratification craft project! The super fine tip on the Precision Pro glue gun made it easy to create detailed designs, too. Keep reading to learn how quick and easy it is to create this glittery fall banner for your home.
Step 1: Spray paint the wood pennants with gold paint and let them dry.
Step 2: Print out the free template. Place it under a clear craft mat or piece of wax paper.
Step 3: Use the blue glitter glue stick to trace the letters for the word “fall”. The slower you move the glue gun the thicker the lines will be.
Tip: When you switch from one color glue stick to another you will have some color mixing. To avoid waste, I like to make glitter glue dots with the excess or mixed glue colors. I save these dots for papercrafts or other projects.
Step 4: Use the red, silver and gold glitter glue sticks to trace the leaves from the template. Trace the outline of the leaf first, then fill in the center.
Step 5: Peel the cooled letters and leaves off the mat or wax paper. Use a small amount of hot glue to adhere each item to the painted pennants.
Step 6: String the wood pennants together with a bit of jute twine, then show off your fabulous fall banner!
